RE: 3.3. I like how the "New" button provides new options for all types of entries, not just an email.
I actually don't care for this...doesn't make any sense for the novice user. User is "in" mail so what I want to create is a Message, not a To Do or whatever. If user wants to create a calendar entry, go to the calendar. (Oh wait, the To Do list has "New To Do Item", so that even the Standard version is inconsistent with itself...Do'ah!).
But, I would disagree with myself if the Basic version, which has a "New Message" button, also just had a "New" button with more options.
Actually, my biggest concern is consistency...just so the New button is the same in all three versions (Basic, Standard, DWA).
And then why in Mail can I create a new Contact from the New button...but then use some unlabeld mystery tool button to "Send Message" instead of using the "New" button?
My job is user training...these little inconsistencies will stop some users in their tracks.
